Hear Dr. Fasano’s Talk: “How Nutrition Can Affect the Chance to Develop Disease”
Nearly 400 people attended the Institute for Integrative Health’s first In Good Health Holiday Market & Wellness to shop, learn, and support our community programs on Saturday, November 18, 2017. The event featured a VIP breakfast, handmade gifts from local artisans and retailers, natural personal care products, a gluten-free cooking demonstration by Jules Shepard from gfJules, and wellness talks by health and wellness experts.
In the weeks since the event, we’ve received requests for recordings of speakers’ presentations. So, for those people who missed this groundbreaking event but still want to hear the wonderful speakers, you’re in luck. We recorded many of the presentations, and over the next few weeks, we’ll proudly post them here on our blog.
Keynote speaker: Alessio Fasano, MD
The wellness expo’s first presenter was Alessio Fasano, MD, chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Dr. Fasano directs the Center for Celiac Research and Treatment, specializing in the treatment of patients of all ages with gluten-related disorders, including celiac disease, wheat allergy, and gluten sensitivity.
