The Mission Thrive team took home first place in the 2020 Fresh at the Avenue Kale Cook-Off. Brandin Bowden, MS, and Nicola Norman took home the prize for the best raw dish with a raw kale salad with avocado and mango. This annual cook-off is hosted by the No Boundaries Coalition. The competition tested each contestant’s ability to prepare a raw and cooked kale dish using ingredients available from the Avenue Market in Baltimore, MD.
