New Online “Integration Hub” Connects Audiences Across Disciplines to Inspire Collaboration and Solutions for Health
(Baltimore, Maryland) The Nova Institute for Health has launched the Nova Integration Hub to help individuals from diverse fields gather, share, and collaborate as they connect the dots among the many factors that influence the health of people, places, and the planet.
A free, web-based forum, the Integration Hub is designed to empower a transdisciplinary community to share new ideas and ways of thinking, put research findings into practice and policy, and spark creativity, collaboration, and solutions for health and well-being.
“We heard time and again that a space like this needed to exist,” said Professor Brian Berman, MD, Founder and President of the Nova Institute for Health. “People working across disciplines said they too often worked in silos and wanted a dynamic, supportive forum. And we longed for a communal space that felt welcoming and non-judgmental — a place for belonging during these times of so much ‘othering.’”
Professor Berman continued: “We think of the Integration Hub as an online café where people from all walks of life can strike up conversations, exchange viewpoints, review each other’s work, forge unlikely friendships, generate new ideas, and develop collaborations. The Hub is similar to other social networking sites, but tailored for us.”
Users can register at hub.novainstituteforhealth.org and participate in discussions, join groups, post news and updates (including Nova Interviews with leaders in their field), find activities and upcoming events, and connect with other Hub members.
The Hub’s creators hope to engage a broad and international audience, including thought leaders, researchers (including early-career researchers), creatives, educators, clinicians, policymakers, advocates, community organizers, journalists, and young people. The Hub was launched after several months of research, discovery, and testing and was created in collaboration with Fireside Digital.
