Video Released by TKF Foundation and the Institute for Integrative Health
In a reflection of the 4th of July holiday, the Institute for Integrative Health and the TKF Foundation are proud to announce the release of the short film, A Road to Wellness, featuring the Green Road healing garden. Located at Naval Support Activity Bethesda, home of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, this healing garden offers wounded service members a place a solace while receiving treatment at the medical center.
A Road to Wellness features wounded warriors, scholars, and advocates speaking on the importance of this sacred healing space. Fredrick O. Foote, MD, an Institute scholar, Green Road Project Manager, and Captain, MC, USN (Retired) is featured in the film talking about the healing garden and how important it is for military veterans and service members to have an outdoor healing space. A green space offers members of the military a place to heal after suffering from physical and psychological trauma.
In an effort to bring awareness to the Green Road and other natural healing gardens, we invite you to share this short film. We would also like to know your thoughts on this wonderful project. Please take a moment to share this video on social media and to comment on our Facebook post below.
