In Children, Scholar Susan Prescott and coauthors outline a proposed digital intervention designed to support childhood flourishing.
The program includes an online questionnaire called the flourishing check, which helps parents reflect on their child’s development and family well-being, along with a pathway tool that connects families to evidence-based programs and resources. Researchers will test the intervention with 600 parents of children ages 0–5 to determine whether the tools are practical, useful, and acceptable for families to use. In addition to gathering feedback from surveys and focus groups, the study will also explore whether the intervention may improve parent and child outcomes over time. The researchers hope the project will help identify effective ways to support healthy child development early in life and guide larger future studies.
